Prof. Liliana Mititelu Tartau is a renowned academic and clinical authority in pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, and algesiology, currently serving as Professor Habilitated at the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi, Romania, and a senior clinical pharmacology specialist at Consultmed Medical Clinic. She has an impressive educational background, graduating with top honors from the Faculty of Medicine in 1991 and holding a Doctor of Medical Sciences degree with a thesis on visceral pain. Her habilitation research focused on innovative nanoparticles for pharmacodynamic evaluation, underscoring her pioneering contributions to advanced therapeutics. Prof. Mititelu Tartau 's academic output includes 95 ISI-indexed articles in the Web of Science Core Collection (55 as lead author), 93 articles in international database-recognized journals (58 as lead author), 19 authored books, 23 book chapters (three published internationally), and 63 abstracts in ISI-indexed journal supplements (51 as main author). Additionally, she has presented extensively at international scientific events, with 49 oral communications and 108 poster presentations (24 and 69 as main author, respectively). A key contributor to scientific innovation, Prof. Mititelu Tartau has led numerous funded projects, including the "Resorbable bandage with 'on-demand' norfloxacin release for healing burn wounds" (2020-2022) and studies on nanoparticulate analgesic systems. She has also collaborated on significant multidisciplinary projects, such as the development of hybrid biosystems for skin tissue engineering and ecological nanomaterials for contemporary applications, with total grant values exceeding 1.5 million euros across multiple initiatives. Her leadership extends to COST Action committees, focusing on drug-induced liver injury and gastrointestinal absorption research. As a dedicated educator, Prof. Mititelu Tartau has been a Ph.D. supervisor since 2018, mentoring six doctoral students currently in training and successfully guiding four students to complete their theses in 2023.
