My name is Prof. Iva Rezi?, PhD, and I am a tenured professor at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, holding dual doctorates in life sciences (PhD in Chemistry) and material sciences and engineering. I also have degrees in chemical and textile engineering. I completed my experimental work for my first PhD at the University of Vienna and my second PhD at the University of Zagreb. I previously served as the Vice-Dean for Scientific Research at the University of Zagreb, where I focused on developing scientific advisories for resource management. Currently, I teach courses in analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis methods, physical chemistry, design of experiment methodology, and textile chemistry. I lead a research group specializing in material sciences, chemistry, microbiology, and nanotechnology, with a focus on developing antimicrobial materials. In addition to my academic duties, I serve as an advisor for resource management in various Croatian ministries and hold positions on several committees at the Faculty of Textile Technology. I have authored over 100 publications, including books and book chapters, and have received numerous awards and grants. My research interests span project management, chemical analysis of historical materials, materials characterization, and the formulation of antibacterial mixtures and detergents. I am also active as a project and manuscript reviewer and in science popularization.
