Prof. Seung S. Lee

Professor Seung S. Lee was born in Seoul, Korea in 1962. He received a bachelor and Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Seoul National University in 1984 and UC Berkeley in 1995, respectively.
He worked as a principal researcher at Samsung Electronics and a professor at POSTECH, and he has been a professor at KAIST in Korea since 2003.
He has more than 150 papers and 120 patents in the field of MEMS.
He severed as dean of students, dean of admission, chairman of the faculty council, and provost & senior vice president at KAIST.
In 2023, he founded A2US Inc., a startup based on water electrospray technology, and is currently collaborating with various companies on air and water purification applications such as home appliances, air conditioning systems, smart and fish farm, alternative pesticides, ballast water sterilization, and water cleaning.
